Alexia founded Semiramis Studio to provide services to people wanting to create or improve their outdoor spaces. Her experience providing urban design, land planning, site planning, landscape design – build – maintenance services, are brought together in the Studio to provide full services to clients. Projects range from intimate personal garden spaces, to corporate headquarters.
Arriving in Chicago over twenty years ago, Alexia has had the opportunity to play a key role on some of the most significant public projects in Chicago. Her portfolio of infrastructure and urban space project work, includes green roof parks, historic boulevards and medians, historic parks, environmentally sensitive areas, urban highway reconstruction, lakefront pedestrian underpasses and bridges, harbors, college campuses, and streetscapes. Alexia has been in the landscape business her entire life.
Ms. Paul’s background includes working at large infrastructure architecture and engineering firms, small landscape architecture firms, and her family’s business. Alexia’s responsibilities have included design lead, project management, client service and coordination, preparation of documents throughout the design and public process, construction review, sustainable design lead, strategizing, and coordination with other disciplines. Alexia also served on the O’Hare Modernization Program’s “Sustainable Design Manual” Update Committee.
